What is OzoneMAX™?

OzoneMAX™ is an ultraviolet ozone system that is composed of a weatherproof metallic power box and a high-intensity UV bulb inside of it along with a complete side stream venturi manifold. The system ejects safe natural ozone into the pool’s water alongside the existing pool equipment and is totally dissolved before it enters the pool’s water. When the pool water passes by the UV light bulb inside the power box, the disinfection process takes place immediately.

How Ozone Works
Ozone is produced by splitting oxygen molecules with an ultraviolet lamp.
This produces a pair of unstable atoms (O1) that will combine with normal oxygen molecules (O2) and form ozone (O3). This is injected into the pool water by a venturi manifold – included with the system.

How Ozone Performs
When the ozone enters the water, an oxidizing reaction occurs as the ozone (O3) molecules react with a molecule of an oxidizable substance such as algae, bacteria, viruses, suntan & body oils, along with sweat and urine. They “clump” together thus greatly enhancing your existing filters ability to capture these organisms from the pool water. One the ozone loses the third unstable oxygen molecule, it simple reverts to life breathing oxygen. The weak bond splits off leaving oxygen as a by-product.

OzoneMAX™ comes with complete venturi manifold

The OzoneMAX™ unit includes a side stream venturi manifold that injects the ozone into the water. As ambient air enters the ozone generator, the venturi creates a suction effect to pull air past the UV bulb, creating O3 – ozone. The ozone is then safely injected into the water flow and the “instant purification” takes place at that time. Within seconds, the ozone is dissipated by the time it returns to the pool.
A Natural Occurrence

Ozone is formed naturally throughout the Earth’s atmosphere when sunlight reacts with oxygen molecules and is also produced during lightning storms.
The OzoneMAX™ unit employs a light source that generates a narrow-band ultraviolet light. Our sun sustains the ozone layer in the stratosphere of Earth, and a similar occurrence takes place in our weather-proof aluminum enclosure.
How Ozone Performs
